Production Control Assistant

Position Description
Work Hours: Monday Through Friday – Business Hours
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Summary: Assist Production Control Department with data entry, maintaining inventory counts, and purchase receipts. Assist with job closing functions and correcting any discrepancies in the production software. This person will support various office activities by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Input daily production information for all shifts. This includes the following: Verify accuracy of all entries including times, raw materials, etc. Assist with inventory discrepancies. Input production entries, payroll hours and production efficiency numbers for plant personnel.
• Purchase materials as instructed
• Receive all purchased materials into system
• Process returns of material. Coordinate with A/P to ensure we receive proper credits.
• Perform inventory counts
• Print case labels for all run cards.
• Assist with job closing functions, including reviewing production paperwork and correcting discrepancies.
• Input and verify accuracy of month-end physical counts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Excellent computer and software skills
• Strong data entry skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook

Desired Skills & Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with Amtech and knowledge of purchasing, inventory and scheduling.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
